This activity will equip you with all the necessary skills to independently become a proficient lead climber outdoors. You will learn the correct usage and evaluation of equipment, as well as how to ensure both you and your partner's safety. The course also focuses on becoming a reliable belayer and a confident lead climber, which includes mastering proper techniques, accurate body positioning, and seamless clipping of the rope into quickdraws. Additionally, it covers crucial practices for the mental aspect of climbing, such as taking falls on the rope and catching a fall while belaying. Clear communication during securing and lowering is also emphasized.
